These homeowners grew tired of their all white, dated kitchen. With white cabinets, white countertop, a standard white square backsplash, and off-white tile floors, there just wasn’t any depth or style in the space. The homeowners wanted to transform their kitchen to show off their style and upgrade the materials to more high-quality and durable ones that would last the lifetime of their home.
Project Solution:
This kitchen went from bland to beautiful, and now emulates the beauty in simplicity that the Shaker style is all about. The homeowners chose a square, flat panel, Shaker frame cabinet door style to keep the look traditional yet contemporary. Some of the upper cabinets were given glass doors with muntin bars so that the homeowners can display some of their treasured china.
The cabinets were refaced with select cherry hardwood and finished in Honey for a warm and inviting feel. Many of the cabinets were transformed into drawer banks for ease of access and increased storage space. We also built new cabinet structures to create a second space in the kitchen for preparing and serving food.
We added under cabinet LED lighting that not only illuminates workspaces, but shows off the beautiful Black Pearl granite countertops. The dark tone of the countertops is mirrored in the black iron hardware and creates a beautiful balance in the space. To top off the whole look, we added cove molding above the newly refaced cabinets for a rich and polished look.
After the transformation by our team, these homeowners can be proud of their kitchen that exudes warmth and style. Plus, they can enjoy the new cabinet and countertop materials for decades to come, because their durable surfaces stand up to everyday wear and tear much better than the previous cabinets and laminate countertop.
